For any invention, one needs to:

1. Determine the best way or ways to protect the invention including:

         a. Find out if the invention is really new; and

         b. Establish that the invention meets other patentability requirements.

my 10+ years of patent prosecution and previous years working with StartUp firms enables me to find a suitable course of action to pursue on your behalf.  At the minimum, one needs to:

         a.  perform a professional patent search; and

         b.  based on the search, evaluate the patentability before you take the next steps including spending more $$$$ and time on your idea.

2. Obtain strong patent protection

Drafting patent applications requires a specialist.  This is especially true in claims drafting and later negociations with a patent Examiner.  The quality of a patent depends upon the skills of the specialist who may be a patent practitioners like us.

3. Perform periodic searches so that you are aware of the state of your patent or its associated rights.

In addition to general patent practice, we have a special program for technology firms, we can manage your Patent Department and take care of all your daily patent related matters (remotely most of the time), and visit your cite to interface with inventors and management as needed.  we offer

  • Prosecuting U.S. patent applications,
  • Prosecuting PCT patent applications,
  • Foreign filing via our associates in most industralized countries, and
  • Forming a patent department to handle firm's daily IP needs.

We also do:

  • Work involving a firm’s patent portfolio analysis,
  • Patent search jobs tailored to a startup firm’s needs, and
  • e-filing patents using USPTO’s latest technology thereby saving a firm’s filing fees and some trees as well.

For a firm that is outsourcing to the Far East countries such as China, we offer an added layer of patent service.  As you may know, patents are country specific in that your patent filed in one country is good for that country alone.   For example, a U.S. patent only protects you within the border of the U.S. states and territories.  Furthermore, once you filed in one country, you may soon lose your right to file patent applications in other countries.

We offer patent filing and prosecution services in the U.S. and the Far East countries. We can apply for patents simultaneously in two or more countries for our clients, thereby extensively protect their inventions.
